There are many wounded people, even within the Church. They aspire to live and grow in faith, but remain locked up in their suffering. Much of their energy is used to handle their inner fights of shadow’s voices whose names are shame, guilt, doubt, fear, helplessness, anger, to name a few. They are obstacles that prevent them from believing in God’s promises or for keeping them.
Many people are no longer able to trust. The head says ‘yes’, but the heart is closed: it has armoured itself not to be hurt. Some of these people are not even aware of it, as it has just become a part of their life’s behaviour.
However, God knows us. He knows everything about us. He sent Jesus to heal broken hearts, to set captives free, to open the eyes of the blind, to set the oppressed free. He will never give up!
For “Love is patient, it is full of goodness … it does not suspect evil, it does not rejoice in injustice … it forgives all things, it believes all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things, it perseveres“. I Cor 13: 4-6
My prayer is that as you read or view my blog that the Holy Spirit will heal and restore you; that He will establish in you the freedom and legitimacy to fully be yourself according to God’s original plan.
